The Pac Bed initially has a feel more like Tempurpedic. I have been sleeping better and don't experience shoulder pain and numbness like I did on my previous mattress, which was a Bed in a Box Pac Bed I'd had for about 8 years. I weigh about 165 and I don't sink in very much at all. I would rate it as 8 out of 10 on the firmness scale. They ended up refunding me for the extra delivery charges.Īs for the mattress, I have to say it is pretty good so far. I had to badger Nectar for 4 days to finally get someone to come set it up for me. The mattress came by Fed Ex, but they just drop it off. Don't pay extra for white glove delivery. Note: Nectar are having distribution issues at the moment, but they are trying to catch up and I hope they are keeping in contact with customers about this!

I have written a full review here if anyone is interested: Overall it's a fantastic mattress, it's firmness is around 6-7, it's not overly firm, although you might initially think that when you first lie on it, give it a second or two and the foam begins to react. But once I got used to it, it then became extremely comfortable, I also like the fact the foam takes a while to respond (going back to the higher density mentioned earlier). What I like most about the mattress is the quilted gel top layer, initially I thought this was a bit weird, as practically every other mattress I've tested hasn't had this. The Nectar mattress feels far more durable than most other bed in the box mattresses (not that they feel flimsy) but when you lie on the Nectar mattress it feels far better than most of the others and this is mainly due to the higher density foam they used, which is probably why they can risk putting a lifetime guarantee on the mattress.

However, the plus side is since I've tested so many mattresses I have a pretty decent idea of what is a good mattress and what isn't. I absolutely love the Nectar mattress, now I will be completely honest I have a mattress review website and I do get commission from Nectar as I do with any other brand if someone purchases. Not sure what they are going for now, but at the time it was worth it. The spot will be back to normal in a couple of days. If I sleep in one spot consistently it will begin to sag a bit, but I just sleep on the other side of the mattress or rotate it and it's like new. It can be a little warm, but I am hot natured. The top layer has good cushion in it, but it has plenty of support in the base layer. I think its been a good bed, firm but not hard. So here is what I've pretty much been telling everyone who asks.

Overall I would recommend this mattress as it is currently, I'll periodically try to update this if there are any changes.ĮDIT 2, UPDATE June 4, 2020: So every so often I'll get a message about this post asking if I still like this mattress. There was some off gassing, but it dissipated within a couple of days. Although I am switching from a comforter to a lighter weight quilt soon and hopefully that may solve the problem. It's not unbearable, but it is a little uncomfortable. I'm naturally a warm sleeper, and switching from a traditional spring mattress to a memory foam is going to increase the temperature retention, no matter what kind of gel or tencel tech it has in it. I weigh about 245 lbs, so a lot of softer memory foams felt like I was sinking too far into them. It has a good balance of cradling you for the first few inches, and then supporting you so you don't feel like you are in a hammock. It does make it harder to get out of bed in the morning ◕‿↼. I don't wake up in the middle of the night, and I fall asleep faster. Does anyone here have experience with this company? Or have any other thoughts? Any other recommendations?ĮDIT: So I took the dive and ordered the Nectar. Seems like a decent deal, but I can't find a whole lot in terms of third party reviews besides their own website of Sleep Sherpa's review. I just saw a review from Sleep Sherpa, about the Nectar Mattress. I'm probably going to go with a bed in a box/online mattress company, not sure which one just yet.

So like most people on this sub, I'm interested in purchasing a new mattress.
